The first scoutblog posting was always going to be the hardest... June 2012
The purpose of this blog is to allow posting of information that Scouts, Leaders and Parents would find of use. It will also be used to demonstrate to other Scouts and leaders how to set up and run their own blog, so expect a few regular changes.
So perhaps it would be fitting to explain how easy it was to set up scoutblog!
It's easy and free to do this, visit www.blogger.com and select a template and then start experimenting. I suppose the hardest part was selecting a name to add in front of blogspot.co.uk
I picked ascoutblog as scoutblog was already taken. I've registered a domain called www.scoutblog.org.uk and redirected this to www.ascoutblog.blogspot.co.uk
Registering your own domain is inexpensive and easy to do, try a reliable domain name reseller like www.easily.co.uk Once you have purchased your chosen domain name, you can set up the redirection which normally needs 24 hours to take effect.
